How Your Story Gets Made — and What Happens Next
Every Zanoura story goes through a fixed production sequence before it reaches you. You approve it before we finalise anything. This page explains every step: what we do, what you see, what happens if something needs changing, and where the boundaries are.
Every Story, Step by Step
We designed this process so parents never receive a surprise. You see everything before anything is final.
You personalise and order
You give us your child's details — their name, age, gender, and a few photos — choose the story and language, and complete your order. At this point, nothing is printed; production begins once your payment is confirmed.
Your payment is taken when you order, and production begins right away. If anything is wrong before you approve your draft, you are fully refunded.We generate and review your story
We build an original story around your child, illustrated as themselves on the page. A human member of our team then reads the full story for language quality, narrative coherence, and age-appropriateness. We do not send you anything we haven't reviewed ourselves.
This step typically takes 3–5 business days.You receive a draft for approval
We send you a draft preview — the cover and a few sample pages — for your review. You check the quality, the text, and how your child looks. If something needs changing, you tell us. We revise and resend. Nothing is printed until you've approved it explicitly.
You can request changes at this stage. Revision is included.You approve — then we finalise
Once you confirm approval, the story is locked and we finalise it. For digital orders, your final high-resolution PDF is prepared and delivered 2–4 business days after approval. For print orders, the file goes to production. This is the boundary: once you approve and production starts, the story cannot be changed.

Digital orders are delivered as a high-resolution PDF, 2–4 business days after approval. Print orders are made and shipped after approval; delivery time depends on your region and is shown at checkout. In some regions, the delivery fee is paid to the courier on delivery.
Cancellation, Refunds & Delivery
CANCELLATION & REVISIONS — You may cancel your order at any point before you give explicit approval on your draft. If you cancel before your first draft — or after your first draft, before you request any changes — you receive a full refund; the first draft is on us. You receive 2 included rounds of revisions; once you've asked us to revise (your second draft onward), a €5 flat production fee is deducted and the remainder refunded if you then cancel (for orders paid in Egyptian Pounds, the production fee is 200 EGP instead of €5). If after your 2 revision rounds you are still not satisfied and request further changes, we will refund your order minus that fee rather than continue revising. THE PRINT BOUNDARY — Once you approve your draft and your order enters print production, we cannot cancel, change, or refund the order. This is not a small print clause — it is the physical reality of personalised print manufacturing. The file is submitted to a print house as a unique, one-of-a-kind item. Please review your draft carefully before approving.
DIGITAL ORDERS — Digital orders are non-refundable once the final files are delivered, which happens 2–4 business days after your approval. If you have a technical problem with your download, contact us and we will resolve it.
REVISION POLICY — You are entitled to 2 rounds of revisions to your draft before approving it. Reasonable revisions — content corrections, name corrections, anything that doesn't look like your child — are included in those 2 rounds. Requests beyond 2 rounds, or requests to fundamentally redesign the story or change the theme entirely, may involve a delay or require a new order.
If something isn't right in your draft, tell us before you approve. That's what the approval stage is for. We would rather take the time to get it right than have you end up with a book that isn't what you expected.

PAYMENT & REFUNDS — For orders in most countries, you pay in full when you order. Cancel before your first draft — or after your first draft, before any revision — and you receive a full refund. Once you've asked us to revise (your second draft onward), a €5 flat production fee applies on cancellation; the remainder is refunded (200 EGP instead of €5 for orders paid in Egyptian Pounds). Once you approve and the story enters print production, no refund is possible. Digital orders are non-refundable once the final files are delivered. In selected regions, a part-payment option may be offered — a deposit now, with the balance due before delivery; production begins once the deposit is confirmed and the completed story is held if the balance is outstanding. If a part-payment or local delivery arrangement applies to you, your exact terms are shown at checkout and on your order confirmation.
