Privacy Policy
Zanoura LLC (Zanoura, we, us) makes personalized children's storybooks. To do that we ask you to upload a photo of your child and a few details so the book's hero looks and is named like them. This policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and your rights.
Who is responsible. Zanoura LLC, contact support@zanourakids.com. Because we offer products to customers in the European Union, an EU representative under Article 27 GDPR is appointed and available on request via support@zanourakids.com.
What we collect
- Account and order data: your name, email, shipping address and order details. Payment is handled by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card number.
- Personalization data: the photo of your child you upload, your child's first name, and any family details you choose to give. You provide this so we can create the personalized book.
- Technical data: with your consent, cookies and similar tools for analytics and advertising.
Why we use it (legal bases)
- To create and deliver your book: performance of our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- To process your child's photo and details: your explicit consent as the parent or guardian (Art. 6(1)(a), and Art. 9 where applicable), given at upload.
- To run analytics and ads: your consent via the cookie banner.
- To meet tax and accounting obligations: legal obligation.
Children's data
Our books are bought by adults for children. We only process a child's photo and name on the instruction and consent of the child's parent or legal guardian, confirmed at the upload step. We never use a child's photo for anything other than producing that child's book, and never to train AI models or for advertising.
How long we keep it
- Your child's photo and personalization images are deleted within 30 days after your order is delivered or completed. You can ask us to delete them sooner by emailing support@zanourakids.com.
- Order and invoice records: kept only as long as tax and commercial law require, then deleted.
- Account and contact data: until you ask us to delete it, subject to legal retention.
Who we share it with (processors)
- Shopify — store, checkout, hosting.
- Supabase — secure temporary storage of your uploaded photo and session.
- Magnific / Freepik Company (EU, Spain) — AI-assisted illustration from the reference photo; inputs deleted within 30 days.
- Gelato — international print and shipping.
- Local print partner for Egypt orders.
- Email and analytics providers (for example Google, Meta, TikTok) — only with your cookie consent.
Some providers process data in the United States or other countries; where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights (GDPR)
You can ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, receive a copy (portability), and withdraw consent at any time. Email support@zanourakids.com and we respond within one month. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority.
Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and the 30-day deletion rule above to limit how long sensitive data exists.
